A major milestone for Dr. Lanigan with our ENT Department at Jennie Stuart Health! 👏

Dr. Lanigan has officially completed his 100th Inspire® procedure here at Jennie Stuart! This helps patients across our region find relief from obstructive sleep apnea and reclaim restful sleep.

Inspire® is an innovative, implantable treatment option for patients with sleep apnea who are unable to tolerate CPAP therapy. The device works while you sleep to help keep your airway open, reducing interruptions in breathing and improving quality of life.

Reaching 100 procedures is a testament to the trust our community places in Jennie Stuart Health and the expertise of our ENT team. We’re proud to continue bringing advanced specialty care close to home.

Pre-med college students- this opportunity was built for you. 🩺

Jennie Stuart Health is now accepting applications for the 2026 Future Physician Summer Intern Program, a paid 7-week summer experience designed specifically for college students planning to attend medical school.

This immersive observational internship gives aspiring physicians firsthand exposure to practicing medicine in a community hospital setting through weekly specialty rotations in areas including:

• Emergency Medicine
• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• OB/GYN
• Pediatrics
• Oncology
• Cardiology
• Neurology
• Dermatology
• Radiology
…and more.

Interns will shadow physicians, observe procedures and patient encounters, experience clinical decision-making, and gain valuable insight into multiple specialties before medical school.

This program is open to students who:
✔️ Graduated from a high school in Christian, Todd, or Trigg County
✔️ Have completed at least one year of college
✔️ Intend to pursue an MD or DO degree

If you’re serious about a future in medicine, this is an incredible opportunity to gain real-world exposure, strengthen your medical school application, and learn from experienced physicians right here at home.
