Congratulations to Chrissy for making it onto the 2025 Team USA 🇺🇸 Dragonboat team. We are proud of you.

🇺🇸HUGE CONGRATS CHRISSY🇺🇸 This will be Chrissy’s second World Nation cycle with Team USA Senior A~!! She is arguably one of the most experienced paddlers on B1. She never gives up, and will do everything in her ability to achieve her goals. She is also extremely gritty, when obstacles get in her way she doesn’t let it pull her down - and her getting into Team USA two times in a row is only a small example that proves that. Chrissy is a core part of B1, and we always know if Chrissy is on the boat, whichever row she’s in, we can always rely on her fully. GO GET EM CHRISSY, we can’t wait to see you race in less than 24 hours~!!

Q: When did you join B1?
A: I joined B1 in the Fall of 2019

Q: How long have you paddled?
A: Started Dragon Boat paddling in April 2011, first practice was a pool practice, wasn’t sure if this was the sport for me, but after my first race I was hooked!😆

Q: What’s your favourite memory with B1/or general favourite dragon boat memory?
A: One of my fave moments with B1 was winning Gold in Boston the first year back from Covid. It really showed how well the team stayed together during the pandemic and how quickly everyone was able to shift, adapt, and never miss a beat.

Q: What has inspired you to try out for Team USA?
A: In 2012 or 2013, the team I was paddling with had a guest paddler show up who had recently moved to Boston. She was a former National team paddler and when she spoke about her experience I remember thinking how amazing that was and what an awesome goal to work towards.

Q: What do you enjoy the most and least throughout this tryout process?
A: I always enjoy having a huge goal to train for and to keep me motivated. I love all of the people that I’ve met through this process and the connections around the country. It’s awesome to come together at camps and trials and paddle with such a strong group of women. What I enjoy the least is probably the unknowns throughout, and the stress at the start line of each trial!
