Hunting seasons have arrived in the Granite State as has a renewed public interest in exploring woodland trails, paths, and byways. As we enter into the Granite State’s extremely popular deer season, hunters must be aware of increased recreational activity in New Hampshire’s forests and fields. All outdoor enthusiasts, no matter where they venture, must be committed to ensuring their own personal safety while understanding the different ways residents and visitors enjoy all that NH has to offer. Be sure to be seen; blaze orange is common sense for people recreating outside during hunting seasons.

Join fellow community members and the Hopkinton Waste Reduction Committee for our Annual Earth Day Road Clean-up on Saturday, April 24, 2021, 10:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m.

Would be great to bring the Scouting youth out to safely join friends and neighbors in action.

Pick up bags, gloves, and a map on the the Town Hall steps (330 Main St., Hopkinton) OR at the Gazebo (behind the depot in Contoocook). These will be ready for pick up starting at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 24.

We'll be there with our friend Cindy Camp from Leave No Trace Refillery. Learn more about how to reduce your household packaging waste by reusing containers!

Choose your route and begin clean-up! Please be safe and practice social distancing!

Drop off filled bags at the Transfer Station at your convenience.
