A bit about Blessings & Balance, Everyday™:

I am creating this page as a vehicle that I may use to keep myself accountable; one that allows me to share my personal journey to create a life of balance through improved health and wellness. This page will be a safe and inspiring space where friends can get involved, find fellowship, and offer encouragement as we all learn to live mindfully, to lessen the intensity of life’s daily stressors, to recognize God’s daily blessings, and to create balance through health and wellness, everyday. Blessings & Balance, Everyday™ is not just a page where you can find folks working on their fitness; it is a community of people dedicated to helping one another find methods to live in harmony with all that life throws at us, while still nurturing our most basic needs of health and wellness. We all have responsibilities in our high paced, productivity minded society… responsibilities that too often pull us away from taking care of our most basic needs… so often we are rushing to meet deadlines at work, to get our kids to one place or another, or to meet the needs of all the others in our lives that we, quite simply, run out of time to nurture our bodies and ourselves. Taking time to prepare a healthy meal, exercise our bodies, or even read a book is too often considered a luxury. One of B&BE’s goals is to help bring those basic activities, so essential to our health and wellbeing, back to the forefront of our daily lives. As a member of the B&BE community, your involvement can be as much or as little as you like! Are you a casual reader who just likes to see posts and takes more of an observer role? That’s no problem! Perhaps you like to contribute with articles you’ve found or even post your own personal experiences daily! All are welcome here! Within this page you will find opportunities to get involved with either of my businesses; Blessings & Balance, Everyday™ (where I operate as an independent Beachbody consultant) and Thrive Outdoors (a survival and stress management school). Neither are requirements of being a member of this page…. However there are a few rules & guidelines we will take very seriously! RULES & GUIDELINES:

1) No negative talk please. We are here to lift each other up! If you feel the need to say something negative - to me or anyone else on this page - please send a private message. Make it a conversation, not a public calling out (yikes!). Let’s do our best to keep this a place of positivity!

2) As a former teacher and a Beachbody coach, I enjoy the role of public servant and the wonderful feeling achieved when helping others. I created this page for many reasons, helping others find their way to health and wellness being one, but supporting my family financially is another reason. I do not want that to be a hidden detail. Please be respectful of the work I am trying to do and please do not try to sell your own fitness products or training packages here. If you have something like that you would like to post or share in some way with our group, please private message me and we will try to figure something out that meets everyone’s needs fairly.

3) Posts should be about health and wellness. Posting about your yoga routine, diet, running plan, meditation styles, weight lifting habits, hiking, etc is perfect! Tell us what you're doing. Ask for advice. Be involved. If you know of activities in the area that promote a healthy lifestyle let us know about them. On the flip side, posts about politics, rants, news, etc are not what we are looking for – at all! They detract from the end goal (harmony anyone?). There are a thousand outlets for such posts. Find and use those instead...

4) Don't quit on yourself! This page is not about producing and end product… it’s about the process… your journey. Will there be moments along the way where you mess up? Absolutely! You’ll over indulge… you’ll forget to give yourself that little bit of time each day to focus on YOU… you’ll fall away from working out, eating right, nurturing your mind and soul… You’ll spread yourself thin… too thin… to be able to take care of yourself. You just might not feel anything positive at all… and you’ll have a thousand and one reasons why you just want to quit. But don’t do it. We all go through phases like this and it’s okay! Just don’t quit. Take time… Take a step back (or a few!) and do what you need to do to get your motivation back in view. Regroup… look hard at your blessings… and get going again. You will find your balance… and in the process, you may just find yourself.
