💝 Honoring Heroes: Kelli’s Story
When Kelli first came to Trinity Health Center, she was uninsured and searching for compassionate care. Through a trusted relationship with her provider, she saw improvements in her physical and mental health and discovered a breast cancer diagnosis early, thanks to Trinity’s preventative screenings.

💙 Month by Month, Hope Grows!
Richard didn’t have insurance or a primary care doctor, and years without care put his health at risk. After a hand injury led him to the Emergency Room, he was referred to Trinity Health Center. During his first visit, our team ran labs, discovered he had Diabetes and high blood pressure, and created a personalized plan of care, all in one appointment.
“As most young adults do, he thought he was healthy and didn’t need preventative care,” shared Nurse Practitioner Pam. Richard’s story is not unique, many patients come to Trinity after years without care. Each visit reminds us that prevention saves lives, stabilizes families, and strengthens our community.

Kelley, a cafeteria worker at a DeSoto County School, shared how her daughter Sarah was first connected to the Dream Center’s Education Program and DREAM Backpack program. Through that relationship, Kelley was introduced to Trinity Health Center.

We’re proud to partner with Maddox Nonprofit & Volunteer Resource HUB & Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi in an effort to combat hunger in DeSoto County during this Hunger Action Month and year-round. Did you know that roughly 1 in 8 people in DeSoto County experience food insecurity? We’re grateful to be able to partner with amazing organizations like these to make sure our neighbors in DeSoto County don’t have to fight hunger through our healthy hub initiative, receiving quality healthcare, along with education and support from the Desoto County Dream Center.

One year ago, thanks to the incredible partnership with Heart to Heart International, Trinity Health Center opened the doors to our Heart-to-Heart Lab. This was able to happen because their board of directors personally donated our lab. Heart to Heart did so much more than provide a $68,000 Point-of-Care laboratory, they invested in us as a ministry. Heart to Heart International poured in education, training and resources that have strengthened our systems, improved our standards, and helped us operate with greater excellence. Because of their investment, Trinity isn’t just offering more services. We’ve become a stronger, more sustainable ministry, better equipped to serve our patients, care for our community, and reflect God’s love through compassionate healthcare.
The difference is real: one new diabetic patient received a diagnosis and began a treatment plan during their very first clinic visit. Instead of waiting days for answers, they walked away with hope and a clear path forward.
Stories like this are possible because of the Heart to Heart International Foundation’s investment in our community’s health and this is just the beginning. Together, we can expand these services and continue changing lives. Thank you to Tena Tiruneh, Senior Vice President and LaToya Berry, POC Lab Representative for joining us in celebrating this cherished milestone.
