This week at the Hornell After School Program, our kiddos combined galactic fun with lots of love as they created some top-secret Mother’s Day surprises for the amazing moms, grandmas, and caregivers in their lives 💐💖

From Jedi-inspired fun to heartfelt handmade gifts, the force of kindness, creativity, and appreciation was strong this week! 🚀✨

🐄🎶 Old MacDonald had a farm… Y-M-C-A! 🎶🐄
This week, all of our daycare centers had an udderly amazing time learning all about milk and where it comes from! 🥛✨ The children even got hands-on experience learning how to milk a cow! 🐮
We love making learning fun, interactive, and memorable for our little learners. Stay tuned over the next few weeks as we continue exploring our Food Item of the Month… DAIRY! 🧀🍦🥛

Our Bath After School Program had a fun-filled last week packed with movement and creativity! Kiddos stayed active with staff-led gym exercises, got creative with silly self-portraits and origami glasses, and enjoyed a variety of board games.

◾Branch Coordinator (FT): Lead membership operations, front desk scheduling, and group exercise coordination. | 35–40 hrs/week | Starting at $20/hr

◾Member Services Representative (PT): Greet members, manage check-ins, memberships, and front desk support. | 10–15 hrs/week | $16/hr

◾Childwatch Attendant (PT): Provide safe, engaging childcare while parents use the facility. | 10–15 hrs/week | $16/hr

◾Fitness Instructor (PT): Lead group fitness classes like Zumba, Spin, Tai Chi, and SilverSneakers. | 2–3 hrs/week | $16–17/hr

Our Alfred-Almond Afterschool Program kiddos have had such an exciting few weeks! ☀️
They’ve been enjoying time on the playground, having a blast with gaga ball, and staying active indoors with fun group games like Trouble. They also got creative making bead bracelets and even dove into STEM by creating their own homemade bouncy balls!

Three of our School Age Childcare Leads had the incredible opportunity to attend the LEAPS Conference in Albany today through the Network for Youth Success!

They’re returning energized, inspired, and full of new ideas to continue growing and strengthening our LEAPS programs. We are so proud of their commitment to learning and bringing back meaningful strategies that will enhance the experiences we provide every day.

Opportunities like this allow us to keep investing in the children we serve. Supporting their educational growth, emotional well-being and helping them build the skills they need to thrive. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things they bring back to our programs! 💙
