We’ve been busy celebrating National Nursing Home Week — and the fun is just getting started!

Monday kicked things off with a little enchantment for Magic Monday, where we treated ourselves to some delicious donuts and magical moments!

Today, we turned up the energy with Color Wars — each unit and department showed their spirit by dressing in their assigned color. The building was bursting with color, smiles, and team pride! To top it off, we enjoyed a tasty lunch of Walking Tacos — a crowd favorite!

Stay tuned all week long as we continue to honor our incredible staff, residents, and the joy of our community!

🚨 Death by a Thousand Cuts: Nursing Homes in Crisis

‘Over my 30 years in the industry, I’ve seen challenges come and go, but this moment is unprecedented in its severity.’ - Joe Murabito, Managing Partner Elemental Management Group

The care of our elderly is in crisis. As the managing partner of Elemental Management Group, overseeing several nursing homes in New York state, I’ve witnessed firsthand the financial turmoil caused by the state’s unsustainable policies.

Over my 30 years in the industry, I’ve seen challenges come and go, but this moment is unprecedented in its severity.

I’m left questioning whether elected officials lack a fundamental understanding of the nursing home industry or if they simply do not care.

Regardless, there is an opportunity to educate them — as well as the public — on why this issue matters so deeply.

Elcor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a privately owned and administered long-term care facility specializing in providing family choices for over thirty years.

We offer:

*Skilled Nursing Care - or SNF - provides 24 hour skilled nursing attention for the chronically ill in our Hickory Knoll, Colonial Ridge and Maple Creek buildings.

*Adult Day Care - An alternative to full-time care, the Adult Daytyme Program provides respite care for senior adults during the day, enabling them to return home at night to be with family members.
