The Guthrie Turkey Trot is proud to announce the Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary as the presenting sponsor for the 2025 event.

This beloved Thanksgiving Day 5K run/walk unites our community to celebrate health and give back. Proceeds from the event benefit the Guthrie Cancer Care Fund, which provides vital support to patients during their treatment. This support helps with essential needs such as heating a home or providing gas gift cards for travel to critical appointments.

I am thankful to be a part of this community and to be able to help those in need. The Sayre-Athens Rotary Club puts together baskets with the components to cook up a full Thanksgiving meal. These baskets go to families in the Sayre School district that need them. In recent years I've been donating the laundry baskets they put all the items in to give out. 🌟 Celebrating extraordinary care: Lourdes DAISY Award winner 🌼 🌟

We are deeply honored to recognize Priscilla Scutt, RN, of our Guthrie Lourdes Hospital 1 Medical team, as the newest recipient of the prestigious international DAISY Award.

Priscilla was nominated by the family of a young patient for demonstrating truly extraordinary compassion. Recognizing the emotional toll of a long hospital stay, Priscilla went above and beyond her duties.

She organized a special movie night for the patient, complete with popcorn and treats, to bring a vital sense of normalcy and joy.

Priscilla formed such a meaningful connection that she even came in on her day off just to say goodbye before discharge. Her incredible comfort and exceptional care were later highlighted in the patient's obituary.

Thank you, Priscilla, for embodying the heart of nursing and making a profound, lasting difference for our patients and their families. ❤️

The Sayre Turkey Trot is just one week away. Join your friends and neighbors for this annual community event on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 27.
The Kids Fun Run begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by the 5K Race at 10 a.m. Both events will start at the Sayre Theatre, located at 205 South Elmer Ave., Sayre, Pa.
This is a great opportunity to engage in a healthy activity before the day's festivities. Registration is still open, but spots are filling quickly.

A proud Endicott native and Binghamton University graduate, Michele loves the beauty of upstate New York and spending time outdoors cycling with her husband or enjoying her five grandchildren. 🚴‍♀️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Michele is thrilled to bring Guthrie’s new Genetics Program to the community, offering hereditary cancer risk assessments through genetic counseling and testing. This program aims to identify risks early and provide personalized strategies to reduce them—empowering patients to take control of their health. 💕

With a passion for genetics sparked during her time as a nursing lecturer, Michele has pursued advanced training to deliver the best care possible. She’s dedicated to listening to her patients and supporting them every step of the way.

What an incredible day! We officially kicked off our 100th anniversary celebration at Guthrie Lourdes Hospital with a celebratory press conference and reception. It was an honor to reflect on a century of compassionate care alongside our dedicated team and valued regional partners.

We were honored to host local public officials and share our commitment to ongoing investment in technology and specialized services across the Southern Tier. Thank you for partnering with us to build a healthier tomorrow for our community!

The celebration continues tomorrow! Join us for our free community open house on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for cake, live music and family fun!
