Formerly practicing with Jefferson Health – Abington, our board-certified OB/GYN physicians recently joined forces to create a women’s health practice that delivers more of what today’s women deserve. From a broad array of services focused on female needs, to the convenience of digital technology to complement your care, on-site ultrasound, 3D mammography, diagnostics, and in house lab work – we’ve thought of it all so that you can focus on your wellbeing. As a part of the Axia Women’s Health network, our priority is to deliver a more compassionate, more caring, more connected OB/GYN experience—one that focuses on a woman’s entire health through a breadth of services that includes gynecology, obstetrics, mammography, fertility, pelvic health, and more. Our team has access to a wide range of women’s health specialists, technologies, and treatment to ensure we deliver more of what women in our community need to live happier, healthier lives. Athena OB/GYN is proud to now offer maternal fetal medicine services in the comfort of our office, providing a comprehensive care experience in partnership with the experts at Axia’s Abington Perinatal Associates. We proudly remain affiliated with Abington Hospital, performing our own deliveries to ensure continuity of care and to uphold the relationships we establish with our patients. The team of physicians who care for you throughout your pregnancy will be the same team who helps you deliver your new miracle at the state-of-the-art Abington Hospital. Axia Women’s Health providers along with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine continue to support the judicious use of acetaminophen in pregnancy when needed.

Acetaminophen remains safe to use when taken as directed for pain or fever during pregnancy. The most rigorous studies show no causal link between acetaminophen use and autism.

As with any medication, it’s best to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest amount of time and to consult with your Axia Women’s Health provider before taking any new medication.
