Restful Sleep MD I help parents and their children prioritize and obtain restful sleep for their optimal health

03/06/2026

This is one of the most common stories I hear from women and it makes complete sense once you understand how insomnia works.

The original trigger that started the sleep problem doesn't have to still be there for insomnia to stick around. Your brain learned a new pattern. And now it's running that pattern on autopilot even when there's nothing left to keep you up.

If your kids are finally sleeping and you still can't — this is exactly what The Sleep Recovery Method™ was built for.

The official launch is March 19th. Enroll now for early access and join the Live Coaching Session on launch day. You don’t need more guessing. You need a system that actually works.

Sleep tech is having a moment and your feed is probably full of people swearing by at least one of these right now.

But as a sleep physician, I want to make sure you have the full picture before you invest your time, your money, and your trust in any of these tools.

Some of this technology is genuinely useful especially for tracking patterns and building awareness around your sleep habits. Some of it has real science behind it. And some of it? The marketing is moving a lot faster than the research.

Here's my honest take: no wearable, no mattress, and no piece of tape replaces understanding why your sleep is struggling in the first place.

Technology can be a great complement to good sleep care but it is not a substitute for it.

Which of these have you tried? Did it make a difference? Tell me below. 👇

Insomnia is not a sleep hygiene problem.

Sleep hygiene is helpful but it was never designed to treat chronic insomnia on its own.

Inside The Sleep Recovery Method™ I walk you through exactly how to break that cycle using sleep hygiene the right way as a tool to optimize your sleep, not as a band-aid to fix it.

Enroll now and join me live on March 19th, where I'll walk through real cases, the mistakes I see most often, and how to find the right sleep window for you. The course is yours to keep — but the live Q&A is a one-time opportunity.

Is your baby a noisy sleeper? Waking constantly? Struggling to feed?

You've probably been told it's normal.

But what if it's not?

In this episode of Candid Conversation, Dr. Afolabi-Brown sits down with Dr. Lynda Dean-Duru and Dr. Krystle Dean-Duru, board-certified pediatric dentists and a mother-daughter team pioneering airway-centered care to talk about the sleep and feeding signs in infants and toddlers that are too often dismissed.

Because sometimes what looks like a sleep problem is actually an airway problem. And catching it early changes everything.

This is Part 1 of a 4-part series you don't want to miss.

How do you know when telemedicine is enough and when you really need to be seen in person?

In this episode of Candid Conversation, I’m joined by Dr. Teresa Lowery, MD, MPH, FAAFP, to break down what patients are often confused about:

• Can sleep problems be treated through telemedicine?
• What medical issues actually work well with virtual care?
• When should you stop Googling and go see someone in person?

We talk honestly about the real role of telemedicine, not as a replacement for care, but as a powerful tool when used correctly.
