To our community, family, and friends,

It is with a saddened heart we report that Anew Healthcare of Horton is scheduled for closure. All residents/family have been notified and have arranged for pickup of belongings. We want to thank the residents and the community for welcoming us with open arms as we branched out into this community. It has truly been a pleasure to be a part of such a great home filled with amazing staff, residents, and family members.

Update on the building situation ……

Unfortunately, there is not much of an update.
We are continuing to assess the current repair situation, but are unable to provide a timeline for residents to return home.

As soon as we have ANY information to pass on, we will put out a communication.

Thank you for your patience and support in this challenging time.

Please know that our Horton staff are working alongside our residents in our sister facilities and all are safe and warm.

We want our community to know that all at Anew Healthcare of Horton are safe and warm! We are experiencing some issues with the HVAC system, and our residents have been invited to our sister facilities for a sleepover while we work through the technical difficulties. All residents were welcomed with open arms, along with hot chocolate and hot tea.

Yesterday we took a trip to Japan! With our armchair travels we put a new stamp in our passport each month. We always try to have a treat from the area we are visiting. For this trip we had Ramen noodles. Some were even brave enough to try them with chopsticks! Next month we are heading a little closer to home. We will be going to New Orleans!

Our friends told him of the presents that they would like to have him bring them. One young lady wanted lots and lots of toys and another want her very own food truck! It is always so fun to hear want they ask for.
