💦 Happy National Water Balloon Day from Mt. Carmel! 💦
We celebrated with a splash-tastic twist on cornhole—using water balloons instead of bean bags! Our brand-new game, CornSplash, had everyone laughing, especially when it ended in an epic water balloon battle between our CNAs. 💣💦

One of our residents was all smiles with a visit from three generations of his beautiful family. 💖 And to keep cool, Kelsey and Tammy from Dietary treated us to refreshing sparkling lemonade. 🍋✨

Thank you to everyone who made this day such a hit—we’re soaked in fun and gratitude!

💃🕺 Cardio, Courage, and Whitney! 🎶
This morning’s “Ageless Grace” class had the room on fire with energy! Led by Brittani from Oaklawn Center on Aging, our residents got their cardio in to none other than Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”!

Laughter, rhythm, and a whole lotta joy—who says aging can’t be fabulous and fun?

😅☀️When it feels like 115° outside, you mist do what you gotta do! 😅☀️

This morning, our residents made their own refreshing face misters—perfect for surviving the Arkansas heat! We combined witch hazel, aloe, distilled water, and essential oils to create cool, custom blends. Peppermint and orange were the runaway favorites! 🍊🌿

A huge thank you to our crafty CNAs, Lisa & Natalie, for helping us decorate our bottles, and to our amazing dietary crew for joining the fun. These little misters were a big hit—and so were the laughs! 💦💙

Every other Tuesday (like today!) we kick off our morning with Laughter Yoga — and yes, it’s just as fun as it sounds! From winking at each other, pretending to be foxes, howling at the moon, and laughing at ourselves, it’s a seriously silly workout that gives our minds and bodies a boost. We leave with smiles, sore cheeks, and happy hearts! 🦊😆🌕💪

Our balloon volleyball team, the Volley Villagers, stopped the balloon for a moment to sing a heartfelt “Happy Birthday” to one very special resident celebrating her 84th birthday today! 💕

It was a sweet surprise full of smiles, love, and a chorus of joyful voices. Happy Birthday to our beautiful birthday girl — you make Mt. Carmel shine brighter every year! 🌟💐

🍷🧀 Cheers to National Wine & Cheese Day! 🧀🍷

Yesterday, we kicked off our very first Happy Hour at Mt. Carmel at the Village Assisted Living— and what a delicious time it was! Residents, friends, and family joined us to sample seven gourmet cheeses, sip wine, beer, sparkling cider, and Shirley Temples, and enjoy some good laughs and great company.

Our residents absolutely LOVE cheese… and we think this might just be the start of a new favorite tradition! 🥂💛
