Getting Ahead Is a 16-week workshop designed to help individuals living in economic instability, build personal resources, examine the impacts of poverty, and create a plan for a stable future..

This is no small achievement—it takes real commitment, hard work, and determination to see it through to the end, and we are so proud of each and every one of them.

We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of the teachers, instructors, volunteers, and First Baptist Church for pouring your time, love, and support into our people. Your investment is making a lasting difference!

Please help us celebrate our April graduates! While a few were unable to attend today due to work schedules, we honor them just the same.

This month, we had 5 men and 5 women graduate—🔟 LIVES TRANSFORMED!

That means 🔟 families reunited.

🔟 moms and dads restored to their children.

🔟 futures rewritten.

🔟 eternities forever changed.

That’s something worth celebrating!

Meet Ashlyn Ohm

Ashlyn joined Shalom Recovery Centers last year, and in just one year, she has made a lasting impact on our team and the people we serve. We truly could not ask for a more dedicated staff member.

Ashlyn doesn’t do anything halfway—she pours her whole heart into everything she takes on. Her passion, commitment, and genuine care for others are evident in every aspect of her work. She consistently goes above and beyond, and it shows in the lives she touches every day.

We are incredibly grateful to have Ashlyn as part of the Shalom family.
