We are excited to introduce Ms. Pam, one of our amazing volunteers!

Pam brings compassion & a heart of gold to each patient she visits.
When asked why she chose to be a volunteer for Gentiva Hospice, Pam shared:

"I decided to volunteer for Gentiva Hospice after watching them give my sister sincere & loving care during her last days with us. Not only did they show excellent care & love for my sister, they were always there for our family. I enjoy spending time with the patients, engaging in conversations, reading aloud, playing & singing, & simply providing a calming presence. I want to give respite care by providing a break for families & caregivers, by sitting with patients & offering companionship & comfort. I am blessed by making a difference in others' lives."

"I love being a part of Gentiva Hot Springs. Blessed is an understatement. God has allowed me to have a wonderful work family that I am thankful to be part of, and be with people to take care of and make comfortable for the end of life. I’m thankful to be a part of their lives and of mine. I love taking care of people and making them comfortable. End of life is precious, and everyone always needs someone to show we love and care for them emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. I’ve learned many things on learning how to care for myself and be patient, where God wants me to be. Since losing my mom this summer, it opens up your eyes that we are not guaranteed today, tomorrow, or any second of life."

We are proud to have a dedicated team of volunteers who are here to help support both our patients and their families.

- Who Are Our Volunteers
Our Volunteers are compassionate individuals from the community who generously give their time to provide comfort, companionship, & non-medical care. Support for patients and their loved ones. They are carefully trained and supervised to ensure they provide the best care support.

- What do Volunteers Do
Depending on your needs, our Volunteers can:
* Sit & chat with patients
*Provide companionship or a quiet presence
*Read a book aloud, or play soft music
*Offer emotional & socialization support
* Caregiver relief: to give caregivers a short break

- Volunteers are available during the weekdays. We'll do our very best to match a volunteer to your preferred times or specific needs.
