We may be a couple days late, but our hearts are right on time 💛

This past Saturday was World Down Syndrome Day, and we had a special post planned to celebrate some of the amazing kids we’re blessed to serve here at New Hope. Unfortunately, Facebook had other plans for us (hello, “Facebook jail” 😅), and our post never made it out.

But there’s no way we’re missing the chance to celebrate these incredible lives!

❓What’s THAT Wednesday

Let’s talk about our therapy model, Therapeutically Enhanced Education (TEE)

This means that instead of your child coming in and working on random or repetitive activities each session, their activities are planned based on the clinic theme at the time. For several weeks at a time, therapy activities are connected through the same theme while still being individualized to each child’s specific goals.

Why use themes in therapy?

✨ Keeps kids engaged and motivated
✨ Reinforces skills across therapies
✨ Encourages learning through play
✨ Helps skills stick and carry over

Heyyyyy batter batter! ⚾💙
We’re gearing up for the 6th Annual Batter Up Classic, and we’d love for YOU to be part of this incredible day!
This FREE event gives children with special needs the chance to step up to the plate, enjoy the game of baseball, and shine in a supportive, inclusive environment. Each athlete is paired with a buddy to help them bat, run the bases, and celebrate every moment.
🙌 We’re looking for:
• Volunteers
• Sports teams
• Community groups
• Buddies to cheer on our athletes

✨ Therapist Tip Tuesday

One of the best ways to keep kids engaged is simple: make it fun! The best therapy sessions don’t always look like work. Sometimes they look like this. 🤠

When kids are having fun, they’re more willing to participate, practice new skills, and build confidence along the way. Play, movement, and a little imagination can go a long way in therapy.

Safe to say Rowan understood the assignment… YEEEEE HAWWW! 🐎
