ZETA CHI The name of this organization is Zeta Chi Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International.

Zeta Chi's purpose is to unite women in a dedicated pursuit of self-fulfillment and meaningful service to others; to bring together people who wish to better themselves and others, to aid the needy and the disabled, to encourage members to discover and develop their unique capabilities, to create a climate of friendship and belonging in which each member can enjoy a satisfying life.

Our speaker will be our very own Alexandra Bell regarding her book, “Alone But Alive.” Your donations for the Blessing Boxes will be appreciated. Mark your calendars for the Zeta Chi Luau, September 19th. Shelby will give us the details.

Lori Cox, Jonquil Lady sent 5 cards for July Birthdays. Brenda Lumpkin’s Birthday is Aug. 29.

Roberta Hatcher, Treasurer – As of 7/27/25 General Fund $5,795.06, Philanthropic Fund $759.41, St. Jude $93.57, Books $180.64 making a Grand Total of $6,828.68
Expenses were $25.00 to June Speaker
Jerri Roper/Joyce Frizzell – Arkansas Children’s – Jerri cannot get in touch with Nan Alexander about sewing. Lynn Woodall has offered to sew.
Sharon Turrentine, Awards and Installation – no report

Membership for Tim Looper – Sharon checked with ESA and was advised that Men are allowed to join Sorority Chapters, but this item is tabled for the time being.

Ginger Yates, Publicity – Presented a picture from the Sentinel Record of our donations to the Blessing Boxes
Shelby Church, Social Committee – The Committee consists of Shelby Church, Stephanie Fussell, Peggy Holt, Kathy Nichols, Jackie Posey, Jerri Roper, Lynn Woodall. The Committee met and has several Entertainment events planned. September Luau, October Chili Cook Off, November Thanksgiving Potluck, December Pocket Theater and Christmas Party, February St. Jude, March Victory Party and April Installation & Awards
Shelby Church, St. Jude – no report
Old Business: Alexandra Bell – Caring Place – Alexandra Bell and Lori Cox met with the Director and have paperwork for volunteering
Stephanie Fussell and Alexandra Bell met with Dody Roberts with Area Agency on Aging and are forming a committee to help with Fundraising for this Agency.
New Business: Secretary Peggy Holt read Thank you notes from The Call, Humane Society of Garland County, Jackson House and Ouachita Children, Youth & Family Services thanking Zeta Chi for donations.
