ZETA CHI

The name of this organization is Zeta Chi Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International.

Zeta Chi's purpose is to unite women in a dedicated pursuit of self-fulfillment and meaningful service to others; to bring together people who wish to better themselves and others, to aid the needy and the disabled, to encourage members to discover and develop their unique capabilities, to create a climate of friendship and belonging in which each member can enjoy a satisfying life.

Zeta Chi held their annual Victory Party celebrating donations collected for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. The celebration was held March 11, 2026 at Red Lobster in Hot Springs. After dinner, the total amount collected by “jailbirds” was revealed, $23,479.54. Thank you to all who served as jailbirds, all who made donations to this annual fundraising event, and Shelby Church for her leadership chairing this committee for Zeta Chi each year. Her hard work and dedication to this fundraiser is much appreciated! Our next meeting will be Monday, February 23rd, Garland County Library, Room C. Yes, Room C, only room available this month. Don’t forget to bring your donations for the Blessing Boxes. And, if you haven’t already done so, please pay your dues. $125 for the year, but you may pay 1/2. The deadline for the St. Jude fundraiser is coming up, so get those last minute donations collected. Nominations and elections are upon us. If you have an interest in an elected position, please contact Sharon Turrentine, Roberta Hatcher or Brenda Richardson, who are serving on the nominating committee for the 2026/2027 year. Nominations will be at the February meeting. Elections will be at the March meeting. Installation will be in April. Our speaker will be Sharon Parrett with the Garland County Extension Office. After the big break we have had, I hope to see all of you Monday.

A fun evening of good fellowship, Christmas cheer, fabulous food and a Dirty Santa game was held December 16, 2025, The Studio at Forest Lakes. Much thanks to Shelby Church and the members of Zeta Chi’s social committee for their commitment to a well planned event. Also, thanks to all the cooks for the delicious potluck meal. Lori Blang won the charity fundraiser. Congratulations, Lori! The Dirty Santa game was a big hit as usual, with quite a few steals! If you were unable to attend, you missed a fun evening!
