It's ! Jake Arey with Verity Mortgage Arkansas in Benton loves our DuoDog Jewel. You may remember last year when he sponsored some of her expenses. Well, this year, he decided he wants to sponsor her for the WHOLE YEAR. That's right. Our sweet Jewely Bean's vet bills, food, and all her other expenses are taken care of. It's ! One of our favorites, Audrey Smith, Woman with a Mission and owner of Wrapped Gift Boutique and Aqua Boutique ✨, came by to see us this morning. 💙 First, we’re celebrating Mary Moritz’s 1-year anniversary as a Forensic Interviewer! Mary has been an incredible asset to our team, helping children share their stories with compassion and care. We are so grateful for the difference she makes each day.

🐶 And today, on National Dog Day, we’re giving a big shoutout to our beloved Facility Dog, Duo Dog Jewel! Jewel comforts children during some of their toughest moments, offering love and calm when it’s needed most.

Together, Mary and Jewel represent the heart of our mission—bringing hope, healing, and justice to children and families in need. 💙

Sister Serafia and Sister Michael, Daughters of St. Francis, serve in Mercy’s Springfield communities and recently gathered for Mass and lunch with Bishop Rice. Afterward, they took their very first visit to Bass Pro Shops and the smiles say it all.

We’re so grateful for their joyful presence and for the many ways they help care for our communities.

Our advocates, Zoe Harper and Amber Allen, participated in a regional peer review last week. Just like our forensic interviewers, it’s important for advocates to meet regularly to ensure they are following the highest standards. This helps ensure that the children and families who walk through our doors receive the very best support as they begin their healing journey. 💙

Recess could wait when Sister Angelique had a story to tell. In April 1998, she read to kiddos at the Mercy Co-Worker’s Children Center in St. Louis. She served at Mercy Hospitals in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas and spent many years at in radiologic technology. Many co-workers still remember the joy and energy she brought to both the classroom and the hospital halls.
