Looks like the Dippin' Dots CEO was arrested for sippin' on alcohol then allegedly getting behind the wheel ultimately crashing his vehicle into an iron pole and 2 homes. This was right after he left a children's hospital charity event.

The CEO of ice cream empire Dippin’ Dots was arrested earlier this month after he allegedly crashed his car into a power line pole and two houses in Oklahoma, police revealed Wednesday.

10 Drug traffickers and arrested in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Law enforcement seized “nine fi****ms, 189 oxycodone pills, 187 alprazolam pills (also known as Xanax), 61 ecstasy pills and several pounds of ma*****na.” This comes as many states around the U.S. are struggling with the crisis. U.S. Attorney Cody Hiland said, “We recognize the Eastern District of Arkansas is not immune to this epidemic, and we will continue to work with the DEA and our law enforcement partners to aggressively pursue and prosecute those who illegally traffic these deadly substances.”

U.S. Attorney Cody Hiland said in a statement that the arrests were part of ongoing efforts to combat the distribution of opioids in Arkansas.

Looks like the state of just received another $14 million in their fight against the crisis. The Senate health committee Chairman, Lamar Alexander for U.S. Senate, announced the state will received grant money from the Department of Health and Human Services. The grant was funded by the 21st Century Act that Senator Alexander authored and President Obama signed into law back in 2016.

Two signature bills have finally passed through the senate thanks to Governor Bill Haslam to address the epidemic that our state is facing. The first bill aims to limit the supply and dosage of medication to new patients. The second is to create incentives for incarcerated offenders. Under this bill offenders must complete an intensive substance use treatment program, which will add measures to help better track criminal distribution of opioids. Both bills are part of the plan, a $30 million effort that is supposed to address the opioid crisis in the state of Tennessee that was outlined by Governor Haslam earlier this year.

After months of negotiations, the Senate on Wednesday passed the governor's two signature bills to address the opioid epidemic.

No one is happy when the runs out is an understatement Tuesday morning when a tracker-trailer carrying beer kegs falls on Interstate 85 in York, PA. Many drivers were delayed and re-routed because of this accident. According to media reports, the tracker-trailer was hit by a car causing the containers to fall from the overpass. No driver was injured and so far, there are no reports that the driver the vehicle that hit the tracker-trailer was under the influence.

Sunday wine sales are approved for the state of Tennessee. This was just approved by the State House Monday with a 55-35 vote. The bill is now headed to the State Senate for approval and if passed, grocery and liquor stores will be allowed to sell wine on Sundays.

The legislation would largely align hours of wine sales at grocery stores with beer sales. It would also allow liquor stores to be open on Sundays.
