Taking a vacation, or a break, is a great time to incorporate self-care.

You are out of your routine and not as busy with your day-to-day.

Liz has an article in the High Country Spotlight & Shopper with more recommendations. Here are 7 Self Care Tips for When You're Traveling. Check out the full article for more recommendations.

1. Break up the trip. If you are driving, plan some hikes or never before experienced stops.

2. Move your hips. I like to simulate walking while driving long distances or put on the cruise control, turn up the music and dance (while seated and driving responsibly) those miles away. The steering wheel is also great for some upper body work. Get creative and make those muscles work. Sitting still really hampers your circulation.

3. Dance. Dance in the rain if possible

4. Sleep in.

5. Go to bed early. Watch the sunrise.

6. Try out your inspirations. Be as childlike as possible.

Whether your goal is to get out of bed pain-free or summit 14’ers Liz has fun movement classes to condition your body so it can perform at its best.

Liz designed Core Transformation with elements from yoga, pilates and Callanetics- a system of deep muscle contraction and deep body awareness. Core Transformation is continually evolving and will teach you things that you can apply all day, every day like Core Walking, breathwork, and restorative movement strategies that will keep your body out of pain and feeling lithe, graceful and supple.

Your first class is free, and after that $10 per session. Or purchase a 10-session punch card for $90. Wellspring Vitality Members enjoy fitness classes for free. Class is one hour. Bring water, a yoga mat, and clothes you are comfortable moving in.

Core Transformation Fitness workshops are free to Wellspring Vitality Members. For non-members it is $20/person and located at the green space behind Zack's BBQ across the street from Wellspring. The September 28th workshop is a community gift and will be held at Paonia Town Park during the Mountain Harvest Festival.

Delivering Restorative Therapies to Healing Hands Everywhere

I’ve been doing massage therapy since 1999, when I started studying at the Baltimore School of Massage. My best education has been the thousands of bodies that I have worked on since that time. As I’ve evolved as a person in my family and community, my work has continued to evolve.

In 2013, I was blessed with being taught the basic building blocks for what later became its own bodywork modality, birthed in the North Fork Valley of Colorado. Core Alignment Therapy is a skill that I use to release and unwind pain from client’s bodies as well as passionately share with other therapists and bodyworkers.
