Halfway through the first week of the spring semester and still reflecting on fall commencement🥹

Congratulations again to our three EMT graduates and all the hard work that went into last semester. As we settle into a new routine and welcome a new term, we’re so excited for what’s ahead and ready for another busy few months at MTU EMS!

For our final feature, we’re celebrating Grace Hay, from the 2023-2024 EMS class. Grace has been an incredibly dedicated member of our agency and a supportive teammate throughout her time with us.

She will be attending the University of Dayton next August to pursue her path to becoming a physician assistant. We know she’ll make an incredible PA and continue helping others wherever she goes.💛🖤

Congratulations to all our graduating seniors! Thank you for your service to our campus community and best luck in your next adventures — we are so proud of you!

Classes might be done for the semester, but our coverage doesn’t stop! Our crew will still be on duty through finals and winter break, ready to respond when our campus community needs us.

As you head into finals week and then into the holidays, stay safe and take care of each other. Thank you to every member of our team for stepping up this semester — through snowstorms, late-night calls, and busy schedules, you’ve kept our campus in good hands!

With the last day of fall classes upon us, it is time to continue our senior spotlights!✨

Today we’re highlighting Tara Estrada, a member of the 2024-2025 EMS class. Tara has been a valued part of our team, always bringing positivity to every shift and stepping up when it matters most.

After graduation, Tara will be heading to Iowa State University to work as an audio-visual installer. We’re excited to see the amazing things this next chapter will bring!🎊🎓

As we get ready for graduation next week, we’re excited to highlight our three graduating seniors and celebrate everything they’ve brought to our agency.

We’re starting with Nicholas Detterman, from the 2023-2024 EMS class. Nick has served our agency as a sergeant, bringing leadership, dedication, and a calm presence to every scene. We’re incredibly proud to share that he will be attending Michigan State University College of Human Medicine next fall! 🎉🩺

Spooky season is in full swing at Safehouse by Michigan Tech’s IRHC! 🎃

Your EMS team is here until 5PM handing out candy, showing off our costumes, and making sure everyone stays safe while having fun. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick treat or just want to say hi, we’d love to see you! 🚑🍬

We hope that everyone had a great October Recess!🍂

We had such a blast at Extrication Day that we couldn’t help but share a few more moments from it. It was an incredible experience for our EMT candidates and one of those trainings that reminded us how much fun learning can be when you’re surrounded by a great team.

A massive shoutout to for capturing this awesome shots so we can remember this and share it with you all! They perfectly sum up the energy of the day.

We had an amazing time at Extrication Day with Chassell Fire Department this past Saturday!🔥

Held at the Chassell Fire Hall, our EMT candidates got hands-on experience in vehicle rescue operations: practicing C-spine control, back boarding, and even trying out roof removals and window breaches. We also got to practice using fire extinguishers, making it a full day of skill-building and teamwork.
