Since our recent partnership with Manning Family Children's many of our patients have received letters from Louisiana Healthcare Connections advising Bayou Pediatrics is no longer a part of Louisiana Healthcare Connections provider base. All of the providers you know and love here at Manning Family Children's - Bayou Pediatrics are still active providers with Louisiana Healthcare Connections. To continue seeing Drs. Barner, Ferrer and Alisha as well as our nurse practitioner Matthew Hebert you would just need to contact Louisiana Healthcare Connections and select any of our providers linked to Manning Family Children's rather than Bayou Pediatrics. For over 27 years Bayou Pediatrics has been privileged to help care for the children of the bayou area. Over the years, we have had the pleasure of witnessing the growth of your children and families, including subsequent generations who have continued to visit our practice. This spring of 2025, we have big news to share!

After more than 39 years of dedicated pediatric practice, Dr. Robert Clarke has announced that he will be retiring March 31. He was one of the original partners who started Bayou Peds. He helped oversee its growth with the addition of several physicians and nurse practitioners over the years. He has helped the practice grow to better serve the area's pediatric patients. We will greatly miss his guidance and leadership. Help us congratulate him on his many years of caring for the children of Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes and wish him well in his next chapter in life.

With Dr. Clarke’s retirement comes a new era at Bayou Pediatrics. We will soon be partnering with LCMC Health /Manning Family Children’s in April 2025! With this new partnership, we hope to bring the pediatric population even better access to a large staff of specialists dedicated to the care and well-being of children.

While change can bring uncertainty, this partnership aims to support our mission to provide quality care through every stage in a child’s life. The processes for appointments and visits may change, but the staff you are familiar with will remain the same, including our managers, front desk staff, techs, and medical assistants. Dr. Kimberley Barner, Dr. Bernard Ferrer, Dr. Alisha Totina, Nurse Practitioner Matt Hebert, and our nurses will continue to offer consistent quality care for your children.

At Bayou Pediatrics, we extend our sincere gratitude for your continued loyalty, confidence, and trust in allowing us to be a part of your children's and family's lives. Serving patients from Grand Isle to Vacherie, Boutte to New Iberia, and of course Houma and Thibodaux, we are honored to have supported your children's health over the past nearly three decades. Update……Due to the current road conditions we will remain closed today. We will reopen Friday, January 24th at 10:00am.

Due to the predicted winter weather Bayou Pediatric Associates will be closed Tuesday, January 21. We plan to re-open Wednesday, January 22nd at 12:00 pm. Stay warm & safe!
