Windy Hill Retreat - Private Care Home I was blessed to have my aunt, Patty Walsh live with me after she was diagnosed with dementia. I have always had a calling to help the elderly.

I am a nurse and so I felt that I could safely care for her without her having to be placed in a nursing home since she did not want to do this and I was able to keep that from happening. During the time that I was caring for her, I realized that I like the "work" that I did. As a nurse at Midlothian Family Practice, I helped not only the elderly but people of all ages every day, but my love was for the elderly. While being home with Aunt Patty, I was able to also be available for my family, friends and pets. I realized that I like the flexibility of this. Not only did my Aunt thrive, but I did as well. My hope is that I will be able to offer this same loving care by sharing my home and family to others that are in need.
