ABOUT THIS CASE…👨🏾⚕️💬🦶🏽
This particular patient was unable to care for her feet properly, and her family enlisted our help to make her comfortable again. She regularly complained that her shoes did not fit properly, and the shoe salesman was running a sham business selling bad shoes. Needless to say, we were quite surprised when she removed her shoes for us to have a look.
Foot care is crucial for the elderly, as aging can lead to various foot-related issues that affect mobility and overall quality of life. Common problems include dry skin, thickened nails, and decreased circulation, which can increase the risk of infections and injuries. Regular foot inspections and proper hygiene are essential to prevent complications like ulcers or fungal infections.
PS: we did as much as the patient would allow in this particular case. Patient comfort takes precedence over content at all times.
