Well the time has finally come to start dialysis. Not looking forward to this new addition to my life.

Had the AV fistula surgery and it went better than expected! Dr. Loh was able to do it all in one procedure. Now I just live month to month waiting to see what comes first dialysis or a kidney.

Had my AV fistula surgery on 6/15, it went better than expected and healing has been so much easier than I thought. Now I'm just praying that I don't have to use it. See my nephrologist on 7/5, praying I don't need to use the fistula any time soon.

Went to the Dr., my IgA is flaring up so I'm on Prednisone. I see the Dr again on the 31st and at that time they are going to arrange for me to have an AV fistula placed. Praying I can stay off dialysis for a long time, but at least with the fistula put in now, it will have time to mature and be ready when I do need it.

I feel so tired but have such a problem getting to sleep, I'm not on dialysis so I know that is not the reason. I have IgA Nephropathy. I'm on the waitlist, but only for a little over a month now. Does anyone else have this problem?

So I was officially listed as active on March 7, now comes the waiting.

We had our "navigate the wait class", everyone at Methodist is so nice and caring. My son has been active on the list since 3/7. Now we wait and pray.
