From Patient to Advocate: Honoring Donnell Walker’s Legacy

Donnell Walker first walked through Legacy’s doors as a patient, determined to take control of his health. What started as a personal journey became a mission to uplift others—one that touched countless lives.

His transformation was nothing short of inspiring. Donnell lost over 200 pounds, regained his mobility, and even trained for a running event. But his impact went far beyond his own health. As a beloved volunteer at our Montrose clinic and a fixture at Body Positive Wellness, Donnell greeted patients with warmth, shared resources at community events, and encouraged others on their own wellness journeys.

"Donnell understood his assignment," shared Felicia White, Legacy Wellness Manager. "First, it was to get healthy, then it was to inspire others. He was Body Positive, and he will be missed."

His kindness, resilience, and unwavering commitment to community will not be forgotten. We will miss you, Donnell. 💙

Flu or something worse? Here’s how to tell the difference.
