✨Facial Paralysis - Synkinesis✨

This amazing patient developed facial paralysis (Bell’s palsy) 45 years ago, which resulted in the abnormal movement/contraction of her facial muscles (synkinesis). For the last 45 years, when attempting to smile, the abnormal movement of her facial muscles has created an obvious facial asymmetry. With a small amount of botox we can create facial symmetry and a natural appearing smile.

For the first time in 45 years, she is no longer self-conscious about her smile in public and is thrilled with the results!

✨Primary Rhinoplasty: Functional✨

This patient had severe deviation of the caudal septum resulting in the inability to breathe through the left side of his nose. We had to reinforce the underlying framework of his nose and reconstruct the deviated portion of his septum. The surgery included extended spreader grafts for nasal support and caudal septal repositioning and reinforcement with a septal extension graft.

The patient was overwhelmed by his ability to breathe immediately after surgery, even with the internal nasal splints in place!

✨Keloid Removal✨

This young patient had large painful keloids (excessive scar growth) on both of his ear lobes after having his ears pierced as a child. He’s had multiple resections and steroid injections by other providers, though the keloids have continued to grow back larger and larger. We decided to proceed with resection of the keloids with tension free closure. We created customized silicone pressure dressings to help prevent recurrence of the keloids.

At nearly 1 year out from surgery, he’s had no recurrence of the keloids and he’s thrilled with the results!

✨Primary Rhinoplasty with Rib Cartilage: Functional + Cosmetic✨

This young patient had complete obstruction of the Right side of her nose due to severe deviation of her nasal bones and septal cartilage. She was interested in straightening her nose as well as improving her nasal bridge without changing the shape of her nasal tip. The cartilage in her nose was very deficient so I harvested her own rib cartilage to help rebuild her septum. The surgery included spreader grafts to straighten the nose, caudal septal extension graft to improve tip rotation, radix graft and nasal bridge contouring.

One month after surgery her nose is much straighter and she’s happy with her new profile and ability to finally breathe! Subtle changes make all the difference!

✨Primary Rhinoplasty: Functional + Cosmetic✨

This patient previously underwent skin cancer resection and reconstruction of the right nasal sidewall. She developed difficulty breathing due to the collapse of the Right nasal valve and was also interested in addressing her dorsal hump. The surgery included spreader grafts to straighten the nose and to open the nasal valves as well as a dorsal hump reduction.

Only a few weeks after surgery and she’s thrilled with her ability to breathe and loves her new profile!

✨Revision Rhinoplasty: Functional + Cosmetic✨

This patient previously underwent a rhinoplasty but continued to have issues with nasal breathing. She was also interested in slight cosmetic changes to her nose to address the drooping nasal tip and dorsal hump. The surgery included spreader grafts to open the nasal valves, caudal septal extension graft for tip rotation and contouring of the nasal bridge. These changes are subtle but make a huge difference!
