Alexandra has brought her vast knowledge, passion & experience to build and maintain a team of wonderful teachers, and an amazing community of members at Soul Tribes.

She loves how both yoga & meditation can be so varied that it can work for everyone, and can be what you need it to be on all different days or times of your life. Her approach to yoga & meditation is with holistic real world tools and practices, and most of all to make things enjoyable when you practice with her.

🫶🏾When Alexandra isn’t teaching classes or in teacher training (she is currently facilitating the Elevated 200hr Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training), she is soaking in her free time with her family. Her current hobbies are hanging out with her toddler, and reading books. For now, you can keep an eye out on the schedule for her substituting classes, it’s worth it!

Our Story

Years ago, founder and visionary of Soul Tribes, Alexandra Charles, dreamt of a studio that combined her big loves: meditation, yoga, and community.

Alexandra found yoga to help heal a lot of injuries she had due to being a professional dancer her whole life. Meditation helped reduce a lot of the mental anguishes she endured through those very competitive years. Seeing the practice of yoga and meditation change and help heal her body, mind, and life, as well as the loving supportive community of classes, the idea of Soul Tribes yoga and meditation was planted.

As the idea bloomed, the creation of Soul Tribes came together and Alexandra is beyond excited to share her vision with the community of Houston Texas.

At Soul Tribes we believe we all need different things at different times in our lives. Some days we need the push and the challenge of physical practice and sometimes we need to bring it all in, let go, breathe and just be. Whatever day it is for you and whatever vibes you are in, our community, our tribes, are something that can remind us we aren’t alone and going through it by ourselves.
