Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women is honored to be recognized as a Best Maternity Hospital by U.S. News and World Report for 2026—the first hospital within the Texas Medical Center to receive this distinction. ❤️

This recognition highlights our commitment to providing safe, evidence-based care for mothers and babies. U.S. News & World Report evaluates hospitals on measures such as C-section rates in low-risk pregnancies, severe unexpected newborn complication rates, exclusive breast milk feeding, and birthing-friendly practices.

"Hospitals designated as a U.S. News Best Hospital for Maternity Care are national leaders," said Jennifer Winston, Ph.D., health data scientist at U.S. News. "This recognition is a clear signal to expectant parents about where the highest standards of care are being practiced."

We are proud of our incredible team whose dedication, expertise, and compassion make this achievement possible, setting a standard for maternal and newborn care in our community. ❤️

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Jennifer Kaby to the BCM Ob/Gyn family!!!! 💙👋

Dr. Kaby grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia and has since been on a wonderful journey through the Midwest and New England States 🛫 She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan and went on to complete medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine 🎓. During a self-created gap year, between third and fourth years of medical school, she pursued a Master of Public Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she explored 🤓 her interest in improving healthcare at the population level 📚📖 Throughout her journey, Dr. Kaby has found joy giving back through medical missions in Ghana--her parents' home country—and El Salvador. After completing her OBGYN residency 🥼 at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, she returned home to Georgia and spent four years practicing as a generalist 👩‍⚕️🩺

When she’s not caring for patients, you can find Dr. Kaby spending time with family and friends 🥰💖 traveling 🛩️ and discovering new restaurants—especially Thai spots 🍽️🍛😋

Dr. Kaby will be joining the division of Obstetric Hospitalists as an Assistant Professor! 😁
