So you may be wondering What is Compounding?

Pharmacy compounding is the art and science of preparing customized medications for patients. Its practice dates back to the origins of pharmacy. Compounded medications are “made from scratch” – individual ingredients are mixed together in the exact strength and dosage form required by the patient. This method allows the compounding pharmacist to work with the patient and the prescriber to customize a medication to meet the patient’s specific needs.

Grace Pharmacy & Compounding Center’s owner, Dr. David Duong has lived in Houston, Texas for the past 10 years with his family. Before graduating with a Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from the Xavier University-College of Pharmacy in Louisiana, Dr. Duong served in the U.S. Air Force for 6 years. Throughout his term, Dr. Duong took pride in serving our country during the September 11 Attacks and through his deployment to Iraq.
Dr. Duong worked for a large chain pharmacy for 10 years. During his years of practice, Dr. Duong received extensive training in pharmacy management and compounding.
Dr. Duong enjoys building strong relationships with patients and helping them obtain high quality and healthy lifestyles. With a vision of starting a pharmacy that exemplifies exceptional service, Dr. David Duong hopes Grace Pharmacy would set a benchmark of excellence and provide assistance to the community and the surrounding areas.

Just a quick shout-out with some exciting news to kick off your new year - the Grand Opening of your friendly locally owned neighborhood pharmacy - the Grace Pharmacy and Compounding Center.
We offer full service including Retail and Compounding pharmacy. We started this business with the priority that our customers always come first, and we exist to provide you the superior service you deserve. This means we will personally deliver your medications to your front door - rain or shine, and then follow up with you to see how you’re doing. And if necessary we’ll even call your insurance company so you don’t have to.
But what is a compounding pharmacy? Well, unlike typical retail pharmacies, a compounding pharmacy can customize any medication. This means rather than cutting your pills in half or even worse in fourths, we can make it in one simple capsule. We can also remove allergens such as dyes, gluten, and animal-based products from the medications we make. We also make a variety of customized dermatology and hormone replacement therapy cremes and ointments.
