I just finished a CME course on recommendations for safe partying. It was silly. Key take away points were: 1) don't mix alcohol with other drugs, alcohol can alter effects/toxicities from other substances. 2) Test drugs for Fentanyl, they actually have OTC test kits. 3) Test these people for STDs. Illicit drugs are often associated with illicit s*x.
Recreational drug use is harmful to people. We all think that we can control it, but usually the addiction wins and we lose. Alcohol is probably the most dangerous substance commonly used, but it is less addicting than co***ne, m**h, narcotics.
The people you are buying illicit drugs from are criminals. None of their products are safe and proven. People that illegal drugs are similar to drugs purchased at a pharmacy. The dealer has no idea what is in his product or how dangerous it is. Thousands of Americans dye from using drugs laced with Fentanyl. Alcohol purchased in the USA contains no Fentanyl.
My advice is: Don't deal with criminals and exercise common sense. Consume your drug of choice at home so that you don't put anyone but yourself at risk for the consequences of your actions.
