Can you still get cavities if you have porcelain veneers?

The answer is yes, but probably not for the reason you think.

Porcelain veneers themselves don't get cavities. However, the natural tooth underneath and around the veneer still can. Wherever the veneer meets your tooth, there's a small seam, and if plaque, sugar, and bacteria build up in that area over time, decay can develop.

The good news? When veneers are bonded to healthy enamel and cared for properly, they're incredibly durable and resistant to problems. That's why daily brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits are just as important after veneers as they were before.

Veneers can transform your smile, but keeping the underlying teeth healthy is what helps that smile last for years to come. 😁✨ Have questions about veneers? Send us a message, we're happy to help.

If you only show a small amount of gum when you smile, laser gum sculpting may be able to help by carefully reshaping the gum line. In many cases, we’re only adjusting about 1–2 millimeters, but even small changes can make a big difference in the overall look of your smile. For more significant gummy smiles, there are other treatment options that may be more effective, including more advanced gum procedures. Every smile is different, which is why the best first step is a personalized evaluation to determine what approach makes the most sense for you. Give us a call to learn more! 🦷

Thinking about veneers but worried about grinding down your natural teeth? 🦷✨

That’s one reason many patients are interested in no-grind porcelain veneers. These ultra-thin porcelain shells are designed to fit over the front of the teeth with little to no removal of your natural tooth structure. In many cases, that means no shots, no drilling, and a more conservative approach to cosmetic dentistry. For the right candidate, no-grind veneers can create a beautiful smile transformation while still being minimally invasive. Curious if no-grind veneers could work for you? Schedule a consultation and let’s talk about your smile goals ✨

A smile makeover is about so much more than appearance. Your bite, alignment, and overall oral health can affect everything from how you chew to how comfortable your jaw feels day to day. 🦷✨

When teeth are properly aligned and functioning the way they should, it can help improve chewing, reduce unnecessary wear on teeth, minimize strain on the jaw, and even make brushing and flossing more effective. Healthier alignment often means fewer places for plaque and bacteria to build up, which can support healthier gums over time.

A healthy smile is connected to more than people realize, and investing in your oral health can have benefits that go far beyond cosmetics. 🤍

Dental implants are one of the closest things we have to a permanent solution for missing teeth. With proper care, they can last for decades and look and function just like a natural tooth. The key is maintenance. Even though implants can’t get cavities, they still need to be brushed, flossed, and cared for properly to keep the surrounding gums and bone healthy. If you’ve been considering dental implants or want to learn more about whether they’re right for you, give us a call to schedule a consultation.

Brushing and flossing matter… but they’re not the whole story. The bacteria in your mouth feed off what you eat, especially sugars and processed carbs. When those are constant, it creates the perfect environment for cavities and gum disease. It’s not just about cleaning your teeth, it’s about what you’re fueling your body with. If you’re tired of dealing with the same issues, let’s take a deeper look at what’s really going on. Give us a call today!

Veneers have come a long way, and so has the process.

It’s one of the easiest ways to completely elevate your smile without the stress. If you’ve been thinking about veneers but weren’t sure, this might be your sign to explore your options.

That dark stain near your gums isn’t random 👀

It could be buildup, staining, or even something more serious like a cavity or gum infection. A lot of the time, it comes from plaque hardening into tartar, especially if you’re not brushing and flossing close to the gumline.

Coffee, bleeding gums, and missed cleanings can all make it worse. Bottom line: if you’re seeing dark staining near your gums, don’t ignore it. Get it checked sooner rather than later, your mouth will thank you 🦷✨
