📰✨ I was recently featured in the New York Post discussing something many patients ask about: natural remedies for sinus and nasal symptoms.
From saline rinses to humidity and simple habits that support healthier breathing, there are ways to help your nose and sinuses naturally. But not every “natural remedy” you see online is actually helpful—and some can even make symptoms worse.
In this video, I break down:
• Natural sinus remedies that actually help
• What ENT doctors recommend most often
• Popular remedies that may not work as well as you think
Healthy sinuses start with understanding what’s really going on in your nose.

🎤✨ I recently had the opportunity to be interviewed by LALAL.AI about something I’m incredibly passionate about: voice and hearing health.
As an ENT surgeon, I see firsthand how often professionals—singers, teachers, podcasters, executives—ignore early warning signs like vocal fatigue, hoarseness, ringing in the ears, or subtle hearing loss. Your voice and hearing are instruments. And just like any instrument… they require maintenance. 🎶👂
In this video, I break down:
• Early signs of vocal strain
• How to protect your hearing long-term
• Habits that silently damage your voice
• When to see an ENT
If your voice is part of your career (or even just your daily life), this is something you don’t want to ignore.
Your voice matters. Your hearing matters. Protect both.

👂 What am I actually doing during ear tube surgery?
In this case, I’m performing ear tube placement (tympanostomy tubes) to help relieve chronic ear infections and persistent middle ear fluid.
Here’s what’s happening:
✨ A tiny incision in the eardrum
✨ Gentle removal of trapped fluid
✨ Placement of a small ventilation tube
✨ Allowing air back into the middle ear
The goal?
✔️ Fewer ear infections
✔️ Better hearing
✔️ Improved speech development
✔️ Less need for repeated antibiotics
The procedure is quick, safe, and one of the most common pediatric ENT surgeries — but the impact on a child’s comfort and hearing can be life-changing.
If your child has recurrent ear infections or fluid that won’t clear, it may be time for an ENT evaluation.

🕵️‍♀️ ENT Medical Mystery…
Patient with years of “sinus infections”
✔️ Severe nasal congestion
✔️ Thick, rubbery nasal drainage
✔️ Sinus pressure that won’t quit
✔️ CT scan that looks… very dramatic 👀
Multiple rounds of antibiotics. Temporary relief. Then it comes right back.
But what if this isn’t a typical bacterial sinus infection?
What if the immune system is overreacting to something hiding inside the sinuses?
This case is one of my FAVORITE sinus mysteries because the treatment is completely different once you identify the real cause.
Drop your guess below ⬇️
Bacterial infection? Polyps? Tumor? Something else?
I’ll reveal the diagnosis in the next reel.

🩸 Nosebleed? Let’s talk about it.
Epistaxis (aka a nosebleed) is common — especially in dry weather, allergy season, or with frequent nose blowing. Most nosebleeds come from the front of the septum and look dramatic… but aren’t dangerous.
👃 What to do:✔️ Lean FORWARD (not back!)✔️ Pinch the soft part of your nose✔️ Hold steady pressure for 10 full minutes✔️ Avoid checking too soon
🚫 Don’t tilt your head back.🚫 Don’t stuff tissue high inside the nose.
If you’re having frequent nosebleeds, heavy bleeding, or bleeding that lasts more than 20 minutes, it’s time for an ENT evaluation. Sometimes dryness, septal deviation, or fragile blood vessels are the real cause.

There’s nothing routine about stepping into the OR — but there is something incredibly meaningful about helping someone breathe better, hear better, live better.
Day in the life of a surgeon.
Let’s go. 💜

👃✨ ENT Show & Tell: The Nasal Endoscope!
Ever wondered how we actually see what’s going on inside your nose and sinuses?
This tiny camera (called a nasal endoscope) lets me look deep inside the nasal passages right here in the office — no incisions, no guesswork. It helps diagnose:
✔️ Chronic sinusitis
✔️ Nasal polyps
✔️ Deviated septum
✔️ Inflammation
✔️ Causes of congestion & postnasal drip
It’s quick, usually well tolerated, and gives us real answers in real time.
If you’ve been told “everything looks normal” but you still can’t breathe… sometimes you just need the right tools. 👃🔎

Things you shouldn’t ignore 👇
🚩 One-sided nasal congestion that won’t go away
🚩 A hoarse voice lasting more than 2–3 weeks
🚩 Recurrent nosebleeds
🚩 Dizziness that feels like the room is spinning
🚩 Trouble swallowing or persistent throat pain
🚩 Sudden hearing loss
Your body whispers before it screams.
If something feels “off,” don’t wait months hoping it’ll magically resolve. Early evaluation = simpler treatment, better outcomes, and peace of mind.
As an ENT, I’d much rather tell you it’s nothing… than see you too late.

Dizziness and vertigo are NOT the same thing — and knowing the difference matters. 👀
Dizziness = lightheaded, woozy, faint, “I might pass out.”Vertigo = spinning, tilting, or feeling like the room is moving (even when you’re standing still).
Vertigo is often inner ear related (think BPPV, vestibular neuritis, Ménière’s), while dizziness can be from dehydration, blood pressure changes, anxiety, heart issues, and more.
If you’re spinning when you roll over in bed… that’s not “just dizzy.”If you feel like you’re about to black out… that’s not vertigo.
Getting the diagnosis right is the first step to getting better. 💜
Houston friends — if you’re dealing with persistent dizziness or vertigo, don’t ignore it. There’s usually a treatable cause.

02/10/2026

🌀 What is BPPV?
If the room spins when you roll over in bed, look up, or bend down — it might be BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo). Tiny calcium crystals in your inner ear get out of place and confuse your balance system 😵‍💫
The good news? It’s very common, very treatable, and often fixed with simple in-office maneuvers (no meds, no surgery).
