We are inviting families with children aged 8–11 years old to participate in an exciting new study conducted by Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Houston. 🧠💤
Study Focus: We aim to learn about children’s sleep and screen media use.
What’s Involved?
• Two weekends of in-home visits
• Measuring your child’s sleep patterns
• Collecting saliva samples to assess sleep hormones
• Fun, age-appropriate activities to evaluate memory and learning

The current study is interested in how tablet use before bed might be related to children's sleep, melatonin levels (sleep hormone), memory, attention, or emotion regulation. Our findings may help inform screen media use guidelines for school-age children.
