Specimen Collector/Specimen Handlers are responsible for: traveling to partner sites to swab patients for COVID-19. Creating and organizing spreadsheets with patient information following HIPAA guidelines. Entering patient information into our Laboratory Information System.

Additional activities include but are not limited to; scanning bar codes, entering patient data, and racking/organizing samples for testing. Specimen Handlers will also be responsible for customer service functions which may include taking inbound calls from clients and other Swab Simple employees in the field.

Responsibilities:

- Accurate data entry and verification of information in Laboratory Management System.

- Receive, unpack, sort & scan patient specimens received via overnight shipping providers; i.e. FedEx and UPS.

- Provide customer service - phone and email support to clients, customers, and employees in the field.

- Adhere to HIPAA, CLIA and CAP guidelines and regulations - training and certification provided.

- Take initiative and participate in associated initiatives.
