Bethany is our Nurse Midwife and Clinical Director extraordinaire

Her favorite part about midwifery is Helping people feel informed, confident, and supported in their choices. I love teaching and sharing evidence-based information in a way that feels approachable and empowering, so families can trust their bodies and make decisions that truly feel right for them. I also love building trust. People invite me into vulnerable, meaningful moments, and I never take that lightly, whether it’s a birth, a routine exam, or a simple check-in.

What everyone should know about midwifery/birth centers: Midwifery care is centered on education, partnership, and trust. Birth centers offer a peaceful, supportive space where families are encouraged to ask questions, stay informed, and be active participants in their care. here your choices and instincts are honored.

Fun fact: I genuinely love answering questions. No such thing as “too many.” If you’re curious, I’m happy to explain (if you’re lucky maybe with a little diagram or model)

Myth: You have to be “tough” or have a “high pain tolerance” to give birth unmedicated.
Fact: Birth isn’t about toughness. It’s about support, patience, and feeling safe. When people feel cared for and respected, their bodies often do amazing things. And when the body sometimes needs a little more help during birth, that feeling of support and autonomy goes a long way into still feeling empowered throughout the birth experience.

Learn how to communicate with your baby before words emerge in this 8-week Baby Sign Language series led by Mimi Vance of Words by the Handful. Designed for babies 6 months to 2 years, this class builds week by week to help families develop a strong foundation in the most useful everyday signs.
Using songs, rhythm, rhyme, and repetition, Mimi blends theory and hands-on practice to make learning engaging, effective, and fun for both parents and babies.
