Congratulations to Aveanna patient Marcelo for being one of our newest speech therapy graduates!

Before coming to Aveanna, Marcelo struggled to be understood and became frustrated when he couldn't express himself the way he wanted to. He received bilingual speech therapy services for phonological disorder and expressive language.

With his support from his teachers and family and his unwavering belief in himself, he was able to graduate in about one year! We are so glad that you have found your voice, Marcelo. Keep reaching for the stars in whatever you do!

Today is International Self-Care Day! This special awareness event encourages self-care practices for overall health and well-being.

Self-Care Day's observance on the 24th of July is significant in that it seeks to emphasize that self-care can be practiced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When Sofia began working with her Aveanna therapy team 2 years ago, she only used about 5 intelligible words. She was frustrated with her limited communication skills. She understood everything well but couldn't express herself.

Through her hard work and help from her Aveanna therapy team, Sofia has found her voice! Her newfound confidence has helped her make friends wherever she goes. Now that she's graduated from Aveanna services, we can't wait to see what she'll accomplish next.
