After a sudden seizure and a life-changing diagnosis of glioblastoma multiforme—a rare and aggressive brain tumor—Virgil Enos chose not to focus on fear. Instead, he leaned into his faith, his family, and the expert care team at UTHealth Neurosciences.

With world-renowned specialists like Jay-Jiguang Zhu, MD, PhD, a neuro-oncologist, and Nitin Tandon, MD, a neurosurgeon, guiding his treatment, Virgil has been supported by a team that combines leading-edge care with deep compassion.

From the very beginning, Virgil’s mindset has been one of determination and optimism. With his wife by his side and a medical team he trusts, he faces each day with a “glass half full” perspective.

Read Virgil’s inspiring journey, and learn how UTHealth Houston is providing hope and advanced treatment for patients facing the toughest diagnoses.
