What are the symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes?
Symptoms include increased thirst and hunger, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss, blurred vision, slow-healing cuts or bruises, and fatigue.

How is Type 2 Diabetes diagnosed?
Type 2 Diabetes is diagnosed through a blood test called a hemoglobin A1C test or a fasting plasma glucose test.

What causes Type 2 Diabetes?
Type 2 Diabetes is caused by a combination of factors, including a genetic predisposition, a sedentary lifestyle, and an unhealthy diet high in calories and sugar.

How is Type 2 Diabetes treated?

Dr. Jongoh Kim earned his medical degree from Seoul National University College of Medicine in South Korea. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and a fellowship in endocrinology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Dr. Kim, who is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, treats adult patients and speaks Korean. His primary clinical interests include thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary and s*x hormone conditions, as well as bone disorders, calcium disorders and osteoporosis.

Patients find Dr. Kim to be caring, kind, approachable and thorough. He sees his mission as being a health companion to patients by being easily accessible and providing them with quality, patient-centered care.
