🐾 Meet Remi – Our Favorite Visitor! 🐾

Everyone at Capstone looks forward to a special visitor who brings tail wags, warm cuddles, and big smiles – Remi, our beloved resident service dog! 🐶💙

Remi comes to visit regularly, and it's safe to say he’s become a cherished member of the Capstone family. Whether he's offering comfort, companionship, or just soaking up all the attention (which he LOVES), Remi brightens the day for both residents and staff alike.

Thank you to Remi for sharing your sweet spirit and unconditional love with us – your visits are truly the highlight of our week! 🦴🐕✨

Our residents had a fantastic time on their outing to Buffetopia! 🍽️😄
From savory favorites to sweet treats, there was something for everyone to enjoy and even more special than the food was the joy of sharing the experience together. ❤️

Laughter, full plates, and great company made it a memorable day. We’re already looking forward to the next adventure!

Some journeys are longer than others, which to some extent are much sweeter in the end. This is true for our friend Ms.F. Ms.F came to us in June of 2024 following a long hospital stay. She needed extensive help in all areas of cognition, swallowing, functional mobility, and activities of daily living. After a year of ebbs and flows throughout her recovery process, we are so excited to celebrate this young lady's well-deserved and earned accomplishments. She is now completely independent in all areas and has moved into her own apartment.

Nothing brightens a day like finding a new friend who just gets you! These two cool guys met during their stay at Capstone and instantly clicked.
From sharing laughs over lunch to supporting each other through therapy, these two have gotten very close.

🌟 Shoutout to Ms. Virginia! 🌟

We want to take a moment to recognize the incredible heart and dedication of Ms. Virginia. Every single day, she goes above and beyond by taking time out of her busy schedule to FaceTime families whose loved ones live far away. ❤️

Thanks to her kindness, residents are able to stay connected with their families, share smiles, and feel the love no matter the distance. It's gestures like these that make our community truly special.

Thank you, Ms. Virginia, for being a shining light and for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families! 🩷

Ms.A came to us following a hospital stay due to metabolic encephalopathy. She required help with all functional mobility and moderate help with her activities of daily living. Occupational therapy worked hand in hand with Ms.A with her ADLs as Physical therapy worked with her functional mobility. In only 2 very short weeks, Ms.A was back to her independent lifestyle and went home. Ms.A was overheard telling our Rehab Director, "Thank you for making therapy so fun! I'm really going to miss all of you!"

At Capstone on Veterans Memorial, we are beyond grateful for our amazing CNAs the heart and hands of compassionate care. ❤️ This week, we celebrated CNA Week with a fabulous brunch to honor their hard work, dedication, and the incredible love they show our residents every day.

And what’s a celebration without music? 🎶 A big shoutout to DJ Derelle for bringing the energy and spinning the perfect soundtrack to an afternoon filled with great food, laughter, and dancing!
