Is your relationship ready for baby? About 2/3 of couples report feeling more dissatisfied with their relationship after baby. If we prioritize establishing a solid foundation within our partnership, we are significantly more prepared for the inevitable challenges that come with the transition to parenthood. ❤️

Additionally, babies struggle when their parents are struggling and thrive when their parents are thriving. Both you and your baby deserve to thrive!🩵

Bringing Baby Home is an evidence based workshop created by the Gottman Institute to help prepare couples with the skills they need to thrive in parenthood and be the best parents possible for their baby. 🩷

If you have felt a shift between you and your partner after becoming parents, that is okay! It is completely normal for things to feel different as you make your transition into parenthood and figure out your new normal.

That said, it is also very common for new parents so experience relationship dissatisfaction after becoming parents. Research shows that this happens for approximately 2/3 of couples. It is important for partners to work together and collaborate to discover what life as parents will look like for you and to ensure that everyone is getting their needs met (you, partner, and baby).

If you and your partner need some support, a therapist is a great place to start. Spoiler alert: seeing a therapist doesn’t mean that your relationship is failing, it means that you care enough to do the work to ensure your relationship lasts!
