*DAILY MEDITATION FROM THE LETTER TO THE EPHESIANS*
*DATE: THURSDAY JUNE 26, 2025*
*TOPIC FOR TODAY: SERVE GOD WITH AN UNDYING LOVE*
*TEXT EPHESIANS 6:23-24*
23 Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
*REFLECTION*
Today, as we conclude our series of meditation on the letter to Ephesians, I wish to sincerely thank you all for following me throughout the period of the study and meditation on Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. It's been an interesting spiritual journey. I also thank you all for all your comments, prayers, and words of encouragement. I thank specially those of you who took it upon yourselves to be sharing the daily meditation on different platforms across the globe. The testimonies from different countries are amazing. I wholeheartedly appreciate you all. May God bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
It is interesting to note that Paul started this letter with greetings of peace and grace in chapter 1, and he also concludes it with greetings of peace and grace to the believers in Ephesus, *and all who love the love with an undying love.*
Paul’s life was a typical example of a believer who loves the Lord with an undying love. Even persecution and imprisonment could not kill his love for God or diminish his zeal for serving Him.
As a child of God, is there anything that can quench the fire of the Holy Spirit in your life? Is there any circumstance that can rob you of your peace in Christ Jesus? Is there any situation that is capable of whittling your love for Christ and commitment to serving Him. Is there any circumstance that can water down your zeal for Christ?
An example of an undying love for God can be seen in the covenant love and relationship between Ruth and Naomi.
*But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.* (Ruth 1:16).
This is an example of an undying love that Paul was talking about. Remember that Christians in that era faced a lot of untold hardship and persecution on account of their faith in Christ. Paul, in his farewell message in this pastoral letter, encouraged the believers to be unyielding in their faith and undying in their love for Christ.
As we conclude this meditation on the letter to Ephesians, I also encourage you to be unyielding and undying in your faith in Christ and love for Him. Just as Paul encouraged the Corinthian believers:
*Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.* (1 Corinthians 15:58).
The type of love that God wants us to have for Him is described in Deuteronomy 6:5
*You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.*
Let nothing come between you and God. Let your love and devotion to Him be absolute, total, and undivided.
In these days of increased persecution and intense hatred for believers all over the world, we need to demonstrate an undying faith and love for Christ.
We need to have the kind of spirit and motivation that Paul had when he said:
*For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.* (Philippians 1:21).
Dear child of God, let your faith in Christ be fervent, and your love for Him be undying.
*Further Study*
Romans 8:38-39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
*Prayer*
1. Father Almighty, please, keep my love for You alive and give me the grace to serve You with my whole heart, all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
2. I receive grace today to serve God with a fervent zeal and an undying love in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
3. Lord Jesus, keep me strong in You that nothing will separate me from Your everlasting love for me. Amen.
