There is ALWAYS an excuse to be made - if you want it. Excuses give us power to avoid responsibility.

If you take on something like grad school, understand that Life will not stop.

Plan for life to upend your direction, send a hurricane to knock down your hope, and generally make it hard for you to be happy and certain

The more you expect life to be a harsh master, the less stress you will feel when it does just that

What is hashtag ?

Part of the problem with chasing success is that we haven't defined what makes us successful. hashtag

We overwork

And still we cannot find success. So we keep going... But we are unable to find success in what we do. Why? Because we don't understand what it is we are defining as "success."

What does success mean to you?

Is it hashtag ?
Is it hashtag ?
Is it hashtag ?
Is it being the best?
Is it being the CEO?
Is it being hashtag ?
Is it feeling hashtag ?
Is it just a pursuit to fill a hole you haven't found any other way to fill?

Be cognizant of how you are defining your trajectory. That definition can make you miserable and hold you back, or it can be the thing that wakes you up everyday with passion and enthusiasm to make your efforts count.

My mom used to say "garbage in, garbage out" πŸ—‘

It didn't mean anything to me, until about four years ago, when I developed insomnia after working with insomniacs

For a month, I got 1-4 hours of sleep, spiking my anxiety and stress

At some point, I caught myself at 10am scared of trying to sleep 12 hours later

I then wondered if I could defeat the thoughts giving me anxiety, could I stop the progression of insomnia?

It did and I have begun teaching people how to control these thoughts that can drive our emotions, which drive our physiology, which drive our behavior

Your thoughts matter

Biology influences them, but our thoughts also influence biology

What you focus on creates the environment and perspective you will take into the future

How much time have you spent understanding how you and how it impacts your mind and body?

The average person breathes at roughly 12 breaths per minute. That's approximately:

Managing stress starts with understanding your mind-body connections:

- Practice Resonance Breathing (5s inhale, 5s exhale): By slowing your breathing, you slow your cardiovascular system, causing your body to enter a state of relaxation.

Remember, everyone experiences their bodies differently and there is NO one method that works for everyone. It's about understanding your body and finding the tools you need to manage anxiety and stress differently.
