Hello guys,
I'm so happy to have an opportunity to share this customized facial treatment video with you. Thank you so much to the first winner at Bright Skincare, Mylene Lovag, who is willing to share her thought and her own skincare experience in her daily life with us.
With a real conversation between a client and a skincare expert, I hope you can get some good points out of it. And, please let me know what is your skin condition that bugs you all the time 😥
Case #1/Part 1: Sensitive skin
Sensitive skin is not a disease & have sensitive skin is perfectly normal. While there is no real cure for sensitive skin, understanding its causes & symptoms can help manage the condition.
A few medical conditions can cause similar symptoms, such as Rosacea, Eczema, & Allergic Contact Dermatitis.
So, for this short video, there are four main points, which I want to emphasize
1. After visiting a skincare expert, you should know about your skin type, skin condition(at that time), what treatment that skincare expert performed on your skin, and why it got picked. You also need to know what to do before and after treatment. That is why a consultation before an appointment is necessary.
If you did not receive all of this basic information, please find another place to taking care of your skin.
I believe with only help from a skincare expert is not enough to make your skin healthier. A daily skincare routine is a key to have better skin, so a skincare expert should at least teach you basic skincare knowledge that fits your skin type & skin condition.
2. How to recognize sensitive skin?
• experience burning, stinging or itching easily
• get flushes & turns red easily
• prone to rashes & bumps
• have dry patches or flaky skin
• break out easily
3. What are common sensitive skin triggers?
• chemical/synthetic fragrances & dyes
• cosmetic/medical procedures
• soaps & cosmetic products
• hormonal fluctuations
• temperature changes
• smoking & alcohol
• air conditioning
• sun exposure
• hot showers
• pollution
• stress
• diet
Genetic factors, age, gender, & race may also play a role in causing skin reactions
4. How to reduce the chances of irritation for sensitive skin?
• using gentle skincare products (with ingredients designed to nourish & calm, such as Green Tea extract, Calendula extract, Chamomile extract, Niacinamide, Ceramides, Aloe Vera, Urea, Oatmeal, etc.)
• using lukewarm (not hot) water to cleanse the skin
• avoiding sun exposure
• avoiding scrubbing or scratching the skin by using skincare products, tools, or homecare devices
• avoiding these skincare ingredients: Fragrance, Paraben, Sulfates (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate), Alcohol (SD alcohol, denatured alcohol, or isopropyl alcohol), Methylisothiazolinone, Chemical Sunscreen, etc.
