In social anxiety disorder, fear and anxiety lead to avoidance that can disrupt your life. Severe stress can affect your relationships, daily routines, work, school, or other activities.

Social anxiety disorder is different from shyness. Shy people are able to participate in social functions. Social anxiety disorder affects the ability to function both short and long term.

Remember, you are not alone, and support is always here to help you get through adversity ✨️

We have a tendency to compare ourselves and usually form some sort of hierarchy, formal or unspoken.

Comparisons steal our joy, our sanity, and our money. If we don’t stop comparing ourselves to others, we will constantly spend money and mental energy just trying to keep up! We need to break the comparison cycle because it’s a game we’ll never win.

Focus on the quality of your life, not the quantity of your likes ✨️❤️

The associations between mental and physical health are:

Poor mental health is a risk factor for chronic physical conditions.

People with serious mental health conditions are at high risk of experiencing chronic physical conditions.

People with chronic physical conditions are at risk of developing poor mental health.

This is why it is good to train our mind, body, and soul to be balanced. Remember, it's always a work in progress but not impossible ✨️

Mindfulness is an intentional focus on one’s thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. Mindfulness targets becoming more aware of, rather than reacting to, one’s situation and choices. Eating mindfully means that you are using all of your physical and emotional senses to experience and enjoy the food choices you make.

This helps to increase gratitude for food, which can improve the overall eating experience. Mindful eating encourages one to make choices that will be satisfying and nourishing to the body.

The opposite of mindful eating, sometimes referred to as mindless or distracted eating, is associated with anxiety, overeating, and weight gain. Examples of mindless eating are eating while driving, while working, or viewing a television or other screen (phone, tablet).

Although it's a work in progress, it's important to try to be mindful of your actions and emotions. Remember practice makes perfect ✨️💞

Feeling capable and seeing that it is possible to accomplish something plays a huge role in staying motivated.

Being able to tap into what makes you strong and capable, those thoughts and feelings go hand in hand with shaping the person you want to be 👍🏻✨️

Mental health can be very personal to many people, but know that it's okay to let those worthy of your trust into your circle from time to time.

Often times we do things that give the impression we are not ok like:

Smile when we are hurting on the inside

Work hard and uphold responsibilities all while appearing to be fine.

If something is wrong, we say "I'm tired" to avoid drawing too much suspicion.

Remember you are not a burden or letting anyone down. We all want to make sure that you are the best version of you and that you have the support you need ❤️

When is the last time you did something nice for yourself?

When is the last time you separated yourself from other people's problems?

When is the last time you took a step back to reassess your situation?

When is the last time you told yourself you are better than that?

When is the last time you experienced happiness?

If you cannot recall the positive experiences or if the experiences are not as common for you. I want you to dig deep and make yourself a priority. Self-love is everything and you deserve the BEST love you can give yourself ❤️

As people we often find ourselves intrigued and excited by the life events of those who are close to us. At one point we might have held onto their emotions or imagined their circumstances as our own. This is called living vicariously.

Although living vicariously is not always done on purpose and is sometimes done from time to time. However, living vicariously may cause you to feel dependent on others for your happiness and fulfillment.

When your life only feels meaningful due to the accomplishments of others, you may be leaving your happiness in the hands of someone else. Because of this, you might lose your sense of independence, confidence, and ability to navigate daily life independently.

Even though establishing independence and confidence can be challenging, we still have to thrive to be the best independent version of ourselves and create our own life events that others would like to emulate ✨️
