HAPS is excited to announce that the 2026 Summer Lecture Series is on the way!

Started in 2011, the Houston Area Parkinson Society Summer Lecture Series has hosted individuals with Parkinson’s and their family members at this fun summer-themed event. The goal is to provide participants with an opportunity during the months of June, July, and August to hear experts present on topics relevant to improving everyday life with Parkinson’s disease.

Each session includes one educational lecture and is immediately followed by a movement lab featuring a different exercise discipline. The movement lab portion offers the opportunity to get moving and try something new.

The 2026 Summer Lecture Series has a ton of great information – both interesting and practical. We are looking forward to hearing from our expert speakers, and are grateful to our community partners and sponsors for their generous support of this series.

Registration is now open. All three sessions will be held at The United Way of Houston, 50 Waugh Drive Houston, TX 77007. Doors open at 9:45 am. Check the dates below and mark your calendars. Register early before these sessions fill up…
