Whitsett, M.D., founded the Whitsett Vision Group more than two decades ago. What an honor to celebrate this month’s Houston Ophthalmology Society meeting, where Dr. passed the baton to incoming president, Dr. Sushma Yalamanchili. ✨
We were also inspired by guest speaker Dr. Soosan Jacob, an incredible cornea surgeon, who shared her expertise on Corneal Allogenic Intrastromal Ring Segments (CAIRS) and their role in treating corneal ectasias like keratoconus.

If your days are filled with screens, your eyes are putting in some serious overtime. 👁️
Digital Eye Strain is becoming increasingly common. Leaving many with tired, dry, or unfocused eyes after long hours of work or scrolling.
The good news? A few small adjustments and regular eye exams can help keep your vision clear and comfortable. 💙

The gift of sight is truly life-changing. 💙

Through Operation Sight, an initiative by the that provides free cataract surgery to those in need, Dr. Zaina Al-Mohtaseb was able to help restore vision for a patient whose livelihood depended on his craft.

A skilled carpenter and jack of all trades, he had watched his business and confidence decline as his eyesight worsened, making his work difficult and unsafe. After surgery, he can now return to what he loves. Creating, building, and working with renewed pride and clarity.

We’re honored to partner with the ASCRS Foundation in giving the power of sight back to those who need it most. 👁️✨

When better vision means safer driving, it’s a win for everyone! 👁️💙
Refractive lens surgery replaces the eye’s natural lens with a custom, vision-correcting implant, offering clear, lasting sight for patients who want more freedom from glasses and contacts.

November is Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month, a reminder of how important it is to protect your sight with regular eye exams. 👁️✨
Early detection is key- many diabetic eye conditions develop silently, without noticeable symptoms. Yearly checkups can help catch issues early and preserve your vision for years to come. 💙
