Living with arthritis pain doesn't have to mean constant discomfort. Consulting a Houston orthopaedic surgeon, like Dr. Jafarnia, is key for personalized care. However, many at-home strategies can significantly ease your symptoms.

Here are some simple tips to help you manage joint pain and improve your daily life:

✅Heat & Cold: Apply heat (heating pads, warm baths) to relax muscles and ease stiffness, or cold packs to numb pain and reduce swelling.
✅Manage Weight: The difference in even a few pounds can impact or improve stress on knees and hips, helping to alleviate arthritis pain.
✅Eat Smart: Focus on an anti-inflammatory diet to help reduce inflammation. Limit processed foods and sugar.
✅Good Sleep: Prioritize quality sleep to help your body better cope with pain and inflammation. Aim for a consistent sleep schedule.
✅Reduce Stress: Practice stress-reducing techniques like meditation or deep breathing. Less stress can lead to noticeable improvements in your pain levels.

✨Remember, these tips are great for daily management, but for persistent or severe arthritis, don't hesitate to connect with a Houston surgeon, like Dr. Korsh Jafarnia, to explore comprehensive treatment options.✨

Numbness, tingling, pain in your hand? It could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). This occurs when the median nerve in your wrist is compressed. The median nerve provides sensation to your fingers & thumb. 👍 👎 🤏

CTS commonly develops from everyday activities, often due to normal wear and tear or overuse of the hands. 🧑‍💻 📱 🏋️‍♀️

The treatment for CTS is to release the ligament that’s trapping the nerve through a minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Jafarnia emphasizes that this minimally invasive surgery helps patients regain hand function with less pain and a faster recovery.

Additionally, after surgery with Dr. Jafarnia, the patient sees a Board Certified Hand Therapist who works with the patient to design a custom therapy program catered to the patient’s needs and wants. 🤝

If you're experiencing these symptoms, please reach out to Dr. Jafarnia’s office at 📞 832-522-BONE (2663).
