I want to take a moment to say thank you—from the depths of my heart—to each and every one of you who supported me on this journey. Whether you contributed, volunteered, prayed, or simply encouraged me along the way, please know your kindness and dedication have meant more than words can ever express.

Though we didn’t win this election, I am at peace knowing that God is still on the throne. His plans are greater than ours, and His love never fails. In every step, I’ve felt His presence—and your love—lifting me up.

This may not be the outcome we hoped for, but the fight for good and truth continues. And I’m so grateful to have walked this path with you by my side.

With all my love and gratitude.
Tammie

Our Story

N = 1 I am taking my health into my own hands. When I went to the doctor in early 2018, I had multiple problems the doctor was unable to help. When all my but 1 of my blood test came back normal (low vitamin D), I was told nothing was wrong with me. I was in and out of the doctor's office for several months with severe fatigue and pain. I was eventually diagnosed with high blood pressure and hypersomnia. I was given high blood pressure meds and told to have a sleep study. When I told the doctor I wanted to try lifestyle she was skeptical. But told me to lose weight. It was recommended I go to overeaters anonymous, which irritated me since the only question she ask prior to suggesting OA was "Do you know how to eat a healthy diet to lose weight?". (I will talk about the specific plan I used at a later date.) Within 5 weeks I had lost weight, and my blood pressure was under control. I was still not sleeping and in severe pain. A friend recommended, I watch the documentary on Netflix "The Magic Pill." If you have not watched it, I HIGHLY Recommend it! After watching it twice, I started on my current journey, and I committed to it for a minimum of one year. This journey is what you will find on this page. There is some lag time between my real life and what is documented here.

I am now at 17 months and my health continues to improve. I don’t feel completely healed and I think this is likely to be a journey that never ends. This past weekend I attended Low Carb Houston Conference and was impressed with the quality of the speakers and motivated by they journey so many people I meet are on.

I had the opportunity to interview Craig Emmerich so keep a look out for the videos!
