Our Story

Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery has been a part of the Houston community since 1956. Our cemetery, then called Calvary Cemetery, originally began as a Catholic cemetery blessed by the Houston-Galveston archdiocese. Today, we are no longer exclusively Catholic and serve all religions, traditions and cultures.

Founded by James Forbis Eubanks, Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery was located on a little 2-lane road surrounded by cattle fields. As Houston grew around it, the cemetery became the most convenient and centralized cemetery in the western part of the city.

In 1976, a funeral home was constructed at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.

Over the years, we looked for opportunities to better serve the large and vibrant Asian community in Houston. We were delighted when we saw the chance to create a funeral home and cemetery space like no other. Our teams consulted with a feng shui master and architect to create the Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park and Garden of Eternal Peace at Forest Park.
