Here are a few tips to keep your pets safe and calm this Independence Day:

1. Keep pets indoors – Even the bravest pets can be spooked by loud noises. Create a cozy, quiet space for them to relax.
2. Background noise helps – Turn on the TV, radio, or a white noise machine to help muffle the booms.
3. Exercise earlier – Get their energy out with a nice walk or play session before the fireworks begin.
4. Watch the snacks – Keep party foods, alcohol, and sparklers away from curious paws and noses.
5. Collar check – Make sure they’re wearing up-to-date ID tags and are microchipped—just in case.
